Property Details & Overview | Warm Brook Farm Vermont Farmhouse Rental
Warm Brook Farm
Warm Brook Farm is a 1792 farmhouse set on three acres in Arlington, Vermont, between Manchester and Bennington in Southern Vermont. The house has been carefully updated over many years to keep its original character while adding the comforts that make a stay feel relaxed and easy.
Inside, you’ll find wide-plank floors, simple painted woodwork and rooms that feel lived-in rather than staged. The layout suits couples, families and small groups who want space to spread out, cook together, read by a window or come back to a quiet base after a day out exploring.
Inside the Farmhouse
The main level includes a comfortable living area, a dining space for shared meals and a well-equipped kitchen with the basics you need to cook at home. Bedrooms are designed to be calm and functional, with a mix of historic details and straightforward, comfortable furnishings. Bathrooms are updated but simple, with modern fixtures and plenty of towels.
Light changes throughout the day, and many guests comment on how the house feels different in each season—bright and open in summer, warm and sheltered in winter, and especially peaceful during spring and fall.
Outdoor Spaces & Setting
The property sits slightly up from the road with long views toward the Green Mountains and surrounding hills. Outside you’ll find perennial gardens, a multi-level koi pond and waterfall, a hot tub, fire pit and outdoor seating areas that work well for morning coffee or evenings under the stars.
Paths and sitting areas are tucked around the yard so you can wander, sit quietly with a book or simply listen to the water and birds. In winter, the same spaces take on a quieter feel, with the hot tub and fire features providing a comfortable way to be outside in the cold.
Location in Southern Vermont
Warm Brook Farm is located in Arlington, VT, a small town between Manchester and Bennington. From the house, it’s an easy drive to Bromley and Stratton for skiing and riding, to the Battenkill River for fishing and floating, and to local shops, restaurants and trailheads in nearby towns.
The setting is quiet without being remote, which makes it practical for day trips in different directions while still feeling like you’re coming back to your own corner of the countryside.
The Feel of a Stay at Warm Brook Farm
Most guests use the farmhouse as a place to slow down a bit: cook simple meals, sit by the fire, spend time in the garden or on the patio, and then head out for a hike, a drive or dinner in town. It’s not a formal inn or a hotel; it’s a lived-in, well-cared-for house meant to be used and enjoyed.
If you’re looking for a busy resort environment, this may not be the right fit. If you prefer a quieter place with history, fresh air and room to make your own routines for a few days, Warm Brook Farm tends to work well.
